Sacramento at the SF gay pride parade 2002 Check out the cowboys.  Terry Sidie on the right dressed in black, white cowboy hat.  Is Sacramento a "cow town" or what!?  :)  Seriously, great show Sacramento pride people!

On the front page of the SF Chronicle Newspaper 1-Jul-2002 is this picture of 2 recently married Sacramento women.

Pride display at the Capitol rotunda,  month of June 2002
  Here is the Capitol building rotunda - second floor of the dome.  It is a circular space, with 4 display cases and a round balcony looking down at the first floor.  Why am I describing this building to you?  It is fabulous, you need to visit it in person!

In the foreground is one of 4 posters honoring gay legislators.  This one is for Shelia Kuehl.

Lambda Freedom Fair,  June 15, 2002

 

Lambda Freedom Fair in Southside park.  The Sacramento Bee newspaper reports "more than 7,000 attended."  Booths and stage in the background, kids playing on the lawn, people lounging in the shade.  Nice day.
     

 

I went to the fair, digital camera in hand.  Took a camera full of pictures.  Yow I'm a bad photographer.  But a few turned out ok!  This one is the best, my favorite, at the dunk tank to raise funds for lambda youth.
