At the top of my web site I had the tag line - "Out and gay
Sacramento on the Internet".
Tonight I
added the flippant footnote to gay* -
*GLBTIQQw:)ff... (Gay, Lesbian,
Bisexual,Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Questioning,whatever, happy,
family, friends...)
So I added
this for 4 reasons - 1) I'm happy to be a gay man. 2) I accept
others for who they are. 3) Trying to figure out who is part of my
community and 4) I have a sense of humor.
Yes, it
looks like I'm making fun of the GLBTIQ alphabet soup of variations,
but no. Its about me and acceptance. I am a simple gay man
with friends and family - friends that may be more complicated but we all have
the same simple needs - love, family, friends, acceptance, sex,
whatever.
