Proposition 8 decision expected Wednesday August 4
U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker will issue a decision Wednesday August 4, 2010, on the constitutional challenge to California’s Proposition 8, the ban on same-sex marriage.
Walker’s written order will be released electronically Wednesday between 1 and 3 p.m. and will be posted on the federal court website
Tina Reynolds and equalityactionNOW.org have events planned:
- 2 hours AFTER the announcement on the decision we will have a Press Conference at the Gay and Lesbian Center on 20th and L Streets.
- 6 pm we will have a party in the parking lot behind McMartin Realty at K and 21st Streets, for dancing and celebration with music and bands.
- If Prop 8 is somehow upheld we will march to the capitol in protest.
